SMILES

A fun-loving mom has graced the world of social media with a heartwarming video of epic proportions! The star of the show? Her “hesitant” teenage son who has been sitting on some stellar moves!

It all starts with Mom laying down an old '60s track - "Cry To Me" by Solomon Burke. Contrary to the title, the bass line is groovy enough to make even the most downtrodden want to get up and dance.

While Evan is trying to put the kibosh on Mom's attempts to get him grooving, once it hits a certain point in the song, he can resist no longer! Now, we see that Evan's reluctance has nothing to do with his ability to dance.

Obviously, Mom's taught him how to go with the flow because his footwork is fancy. He's clearly no spring chicken when it comes to living room dance parties, and he's showing Mom no mercy in his response to her challenge.

Their video was an instant hit on TikTok, gaining over 3 million views and hundreds of thousands of hearts. There was no shortage of appreciation in the comments for their living room showdown, either.

"Love your son and what a cutie pie 🥰 He loves his Mama! This is what Life is all about 🤗" said one person, while another wrote, "The best I've seen. He's going to be the life and soul wherever he goes."

Evan also chimed in to make sure his mom knew who the "winner" was when he wrote, "i OWNED that dance floor," to which his mom promptly admitted, "You did!! LOL"

All in all, their living room dance party is a day brightener that's well worth the watch!

ANIMALS

Kevin Bacon has the internet abuzz once more, but this time he’s sharing the spotlight.

He’s got boy band fans fawning over his latest serenade. Not to his wife, the beautiful Keira Sedgwick, mind you, but to a notably “ornery” pair of alpacas.

Kevin and Keira run a farm in Connecticut and they’ve made sure to keep their alpacas soothed with some great hits. It seems they’ve got a bit of a soft spot when it comes to the Backstreet Boys, and the megahit that settles their nerves? "I Want It That Way," of course!

The journey to this moment began with Bacon's "Goat Songs" series, where he covered a New Kids on the Block classic. McLean saw Bacon's performance and threw down the gauntlet, challenging him to dive deeper into the boy band world.

Bacon, ever the sport, accepted with open arms. He delivered a rendition that was both pitch-perfect and filled with genuine warmth, proving music's timeless ability to connect us all.

But the real stars of the show? Bacon's alpacas, especially a brown one named Sherona, seemed both confused and captivated by Bacon's heartfelt performance.

These moments, shared on Bacon's Instagram and TikTok, show a side of the actor that fans rarely see- a man simply enjoying life on his farm, singing to his animals.

The video is a glimpse into a world where fame takes a backseat to the simple, joyous moments of hanging out with your animal pack while singing your heart out.

💭 QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”

🗿 ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…

Did you know that on February 27, 1827, New Orleans burst into a kaleidoscope of color and energy, marking the first Mardi Gras celebration in the city?

Inspired by their time in Paris, a group of students decided to bring a slice of European Carnival right to the streets of New Orleans. Masked and costumed, they danced through the city, igniting a tradition of revelry and public festivity that would define New Orleans' cultural identity.

This wasn't just any party- it was the birth of the United States' most famous Mardi Gras celebration. It successfully blended the old-world charm of Carnival with the unique spirit of New Orleans.

As the years rolled on, Mardi Gras transformed from a simple masked dance in New Orleans to an extravaganza of parades, elaborate floats, and throws that included everything from beads to coins and stuffed toys.

Other notable happenings include…

1693 - In a groundbreaking moment for gossip and glam, London debuts "Ladies' Mercury," the first-ever magazine just for the ladies.

1964 - Italy makes a global plea to save its leaning celebrity, the Tower of Pisa, from taking an unintended dive.

1981 - Musical legends Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder team up to blend their voices in the hit single "Ebony & Ivory," proving music knows no boundaries.
