Hey everyone,

Happy Friday! Ready to kick the day off with some great news? It looks like Dementia is on the decline according to many in-depth studies.

While doctors aren’t sure of the exact reason for the decline, they do believe they’ve found a link- vascular health. This gives us even more reason to care for our heart health, because it helps our brains, too!

Thankfully, there are plenty of things we can do on our own to boost brain and heart health all on our own!

SMILES

A Quebec man in his sixties clocks in at his job at 4:30 AM just like any other workday, but with one extraordinary difference—he's now $50 million richer. And get this- his name’s actually Richer!

The newest $50 million Lotto Max jackpot winner, Pierre Richer isn't hanging up his hat just yet, however. He's still the first one in at the shipping department of the catering company he works for, even after the big win.

Why? Well, he’s got an incredibly heartwarming reason for keeping things unchanged.

Richer's stroke of luck was as unexpected as his reaction. The life-changing ticket came into his hands on a whim. It was a random, chance outing that brought him to the lucky location, all because of a simple sale.

If it weren't for that discount, Richer might have missed his chance at fortune.

The moment of discovery was a family affair, filled with screams of disbelief from his daughter, but from Richer himself? He met the news with a calm "OK," and continued on as usual.

Despite the monumental win, he's not ready to let his workdays become a thing of the past. His heart is just too big to do that. While Richer now dreams of a new home and some well-deserved luxuries, he's not letting the jackpot disrupt his life's rhythm.

His dedication to his job speaks volumes about his character, revealing that some things are more valuable than money.

As it turns out, the jackpot winner credits a pie crust with landing him in the fat stack of cash, and he’s got a pretty wholesome reason for continuing to work at the crack of dawn each day.

ANIMALS

In the sweeping savannahs of Africa, a tale unfolds that tugs at the heartstrings—a story of an orphaned rhino and the human who became his guardian.

Kamara, driven by compassion, raised the young rhino, Kitui, teaching him to navigate the world. Their early days were filled with tender moments of learning and growth, forging a bond that would endure a lifetime.

As Kitui matured, the time came for him to return to the wild. This necessary step was laden with emotion for Kamara, who watched over Kitui's journey into independence with pride and a touch of sorrow.

The vast plains became Kitui's new home, but memories of his unique upbringing remained, marking him as a gentle giant among his wild peers.

After some years passed, Kamara and Kitui happened to cross paths in an unexpected reunion. The rhino, now thriving in his natural habitat, recognized Kamara nearly instantly.

This touching encounter showcases the profound connection between them, defying time and the distance of separation.

This emotional reunion kicks every viewer right in the feels. It puts the enduring impact of human-animal relationships and the success of conservation efforts on full display.

It’s a remarkable moment no animal lover should miss. 🥰

🗿 ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…

Did you know November 3rd has been known as Cliché Sandwich Day for decades? It holds the dual honor of celebrating both the humble sandwich and oft-repeated clichés.

The sandwich legacy is traced back to John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, born November 3rd, 1718. His gambling habits led to the creation of this convenient meal. Legend has it that to avoid pausing his gaming sessions, Montagu's assistants concocted a meal of meat tucked between two slices of bread, paving the way for the beloved sandwich.

Today is also Cliché Day. It’s a day to celebrate all those annoyingly accurate, on-the-nose sayings we can’t stand, yet can’t stop using.

Other notable events include…

1911 - Louis Chevrolet learned car design skills while working for Buick and, with very little formal education, incorporated the Chevrolet Motor Car Company.

1957 - the Soviet Union sent a dog named Laika into space aboard the spacecraft Sputnik II.

1975 - Queen Elizabeth II inaugurated the flow from the UK’s first-ever oil pipeline. BP (British Petroleum) built the 130-mile-long pipeline in the North Sea, and Queen Elizabeth II pushed the gold-plated button at BP’s control center near Aberdeen, Scotland.
